“The new season supply of Hainan Black Diamond wax apples is now available. At this stage, our picking frequency is about twice a week, and the supply is limited. "On the mainland market, the only competition comes from Taiwan, China. But the Hainan fruit has two big advantages: First, it can achieve continuous supply throughout the year while the shipping frequency of Taiwan's wax apple to the mainland can only be done twice a week. Secondly, in terms of logistics, relatively speaking, Hainan wax apples can reach consumers faster and they are fresher."
"Despite this, Taiwan's wax apple still has a certain market advantage. On the one hand, the price is sometimes even lower than that of Hainan. On the other hand, Taiwan's planting technology and new product development is relatively more elaborate and more advanced. At present, Hainan's new varieties still need to be imported from Taiwan."
“In the planting mode of 'self-owned + cooperation', we have a total of 2,225 acres of wax apple in Hainan. Among them, our own orchards cover an area of 225 acres, and the cooperatively controlled planting base covers an area of about 2,000 acres. In the whole production area of Hainan, the current planting area of rose apple is about 20,000 mu, and the total output is relatively stable, and there is no big fluctuation."
“In terms of sales channels, at present, chain stores are still the main outlet for our sales, and the quantity has increased. The difference is that this year, community group purchase channels also began to sell wax apples and the sales volume is satisfying. In 2019, in order to better meet the market needs, we will increase the supply and expand this channel."
