Interpoma: Korean company showcases innovative accessories

The Startup Village at Interpoma 2018 was reserved for the companies that stood out with their original ideas and the realization of several projects. This area was devoted to the novelties proposed by young companies with concrete ideas.

One of the start-ups came from South Korea: the Dain Industry produces accessories for fruit farming. In some cases, these are facilitators that help to bend the branches in order to slow down the flow of nutrients in the lymphatic vessels so to facilitate the flower buds differentiation.

Practically, this operation changes the direction of the branch in order to increase its angle thus making the plant more uniform so to facilitate the fruiting.

Another accessory was represented by several small weights to hang on the branch in order to bend it downwards thus facilitating the flower bud differentiation and making the plant more harmonious. This practice allows reducing the production alternation - especially for apples.

Gang Hoon, “We have a broad selection of small accessories that are extremely helpful for our producers. We believe that they can be useful for European apple producers as well. This is why we participated in Interpoma”.
