'Our goal is to reinforce Peru's image as a producer with differential advantages in Asia'

Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Rogers Valencia affirmed that Peruvian entrepreneurs expect to effectuate transactions worth US$140 million and to make more than 600 new business contacts at this year's Asia Fruit Logistica trade show in Hong Kong.

The Peruvian delegation will comprise over 200 entrepreneurs. Table grapes, mangoes, avocados, asparagus, blueberries, pomegranates, and more will be showcased before thousands of buyers from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, India and Japan.

"We keep working to enhance Peru's position as a fresh food producing country with differential advantages in Asia. Our Superfoods will play a key role at Asia Fruit Logistica," Valencia emphasized.

According to Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Gustavo Mostajo, a representative from the National Agricultural Sanitation Service will inform potential buyers of the requirements to import agricultural products from the Inca nation.

"Our goal is to reinforce Peru's image as a producer of fresh food with differential advantages in Asia," he explained.

Peruvian Pavilion
Asia Fruit Logistica is the number one exhibition for fresh fruit and vegetable marketing in Asia; running from September 5 to 7, 2018. As in previous years, there will be a Peruvian Pavilion to showcase the Andean nation's strength in the global fruit and vegetable sector.
