APAMA conferences

International business round of Argentine blueberries

Argentina's Blueberry Committee (ABC) and the Association of Blueberry Producers of Argentina's Mesopotamia (APAMA) announced the realization of the international business round, which will include the participation of the main international buyers and distributors of this fruit.

The event will be held at the Convention Center of Concordia, within the framework of the Conferences organized by APAMA each year.

The meeting will take place on August 29 and 30 in the city of Concordia, Entre Rios, within the framework of the 9th Regional Technical Conference on Blueberries organized by APAMA. The round is part of a joint work with the Ministry of Agribusiness through the Secretariat of Food and Bioeconomy, the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade, and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"In the face of a global demand for blueberries that is on the rise, our goal is to achieve new opportunities for the industry; that's why the round focuses on calling importers from recently opened markets, such as China and Thailand, which have a large potential for our blueberries, and also expanding the existing business opportunities in Germany and Sweden, which are key to continue growing in Continental Europe and Scandinavia," said Baya.

The business round will take place during the Technical Conference of APAMA, a partner institution of the ABC, and it will include a visit to the fields and productive establishments so that the companies can know how the sector works. "It is important to hold a meeting that brings together all producers of Argentine blueberries in a high-quality event that will address different issues, such as technology trends, cultivation techniques, and various cutting-edge issues, with national and international speakers," said the president of ABC.

In addition, Baya highlighted Argentina's commercial repositioning through the "Taste the sweetness, enjoy the difference" communication campaign. "We know that our blueberry's flavor and sweetness is appreciated abroad as a distinctive value compared to other world productions."

"These rounds are the result of the articulation that the National State has been carrying out, where different government agencies, such as Senasa, Minagro, and the Investment Agency, are working so that each opening of a new market is accompanied by a commercial promotion action," said Patricio Pizzoglio, of the Investment Agency.

"Another component that the Investment Agency considers of vital importance is the training and formation of the companies, that's why we celebrate that the rounds are made within the framework of a technical day that will provide knowledge to the producers, contributing to a greater productive efficiency," he added.

"We value the effort and work of the Market Secretariat for the recent commercial openings. We believe that it is the way to achieve growth for the sector, diversifying demand and sending our blueberries to the largest number of countries in the world," Baya stated.

Argentine companies that offer products of national origin belonging to this category may participate in the meetings. If you are interested in participating in the activity, you must fill out the form available at www.inversionycomercio.org.ar and send it to the following address: asereno@produccion.gob.ar. The registration deadline is August 17.
