Abundant harvest of Jinzhou plums

The surface area devoted to plum plantation in Jinzhou City is 7,333 hectares with an annual production volume of 33 thousand tons and a production value of 80 million yuan [11.96 million USD]. Fruit purchasers from such places as Tangshan, Beijing, Yinchuan, Wuhan, and Lianyungang travel here every year during plum harvest season to purchase plums.

In addition to traditional sour plums, fruit farmers have also imported such new product varieties as watermelon plums, Hongpulin, Black Anonymous, and Ganke plums from Shandong, Henan, and Shaanxi. These new varieties each have their own characteristics. The retail price of plums is between 2.5 and 3 yuan [0.37-0.45 USD] per 0.5 kg.
