Jiaxing Fruit Market:

Imported fruit trade continued to grow rapidly in the first half of the year

In the first half of the year, the import fruit trade in the Jiaxing fruit market continued to grow rapidly. According to statistics, the transaction volume and turnover of imported fruits increased by 23.93% and 22.22% respectively from January to June. In terms of varieties, the imported fruit in the market is mainly composed of Southeast Asian fruit such as dragon fruit, durian, longan fruit, jackfruit, mangosteen, etc., accounting for more than 93%. Among them, the transaction volume of the durian, which has been increasingly favored by consumers in recent years, has increased by 38.34% year-on-year, and has become the main distributed product in the market for imported fruit.

In recent years, Yunnan, Guangxi and other land ports have started fruit imports under the influence of the tariff policy. Customs clearance is more convenient, and Southeast Asian fruit imports are also increasing. At the same time, market transactions and parking lots have expanded, and the sale of Southeast Asian fruit directly in the car by whole containers has also provided conditions for the formation of distribution. In addition, Southeast Asian fruit prices are generally close to domestically produced fruits, which are much cheaper than Western goods and more easily accepted by consumers.
