Jérôme Ogier, Ogier Fruits :

"France : "Apricot prices rising"

The French company Ogier Fruits produces fruit. Currently, apricots are in full season. Jérôme Ogier: "The market trend is pretty good. Like many French producers, we were concerned by the bad weather, which has reduced the yield. But business wise it’s not going bad: prices are going up, and there are some destinations that are doing very well."

Jérôme mainly exports apricots to Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, where demand is good. A small part is for the Austrian and English markets. The rest is destined for the French market.

Limited Spanish amounts have improved the situation for French fruits. "This is especially good for the flow of our product. Due to good demand, there is little stock." Ogier Fruits offers many different varieties. "We will follow the harvest calendar to make the season a little longer."

Apart from apricots, the company offers apples, pears, kiwis, strawberries, cherries and small peaches.
