Total property damage about 100,000 euros

Major fire in the Grossmarktstraße of Graz

On Thursday evening there was a big fire in the wholesale market hall in Graz. A container went up in flames and in the hall, several windows and doors were destroyed. The police are currently suspecting it is arson.

Damages
The incident involved around 30 firefighters with a total of 7 vehicles. After about one and a half hours -around 7.30 pm- the ‘All Clear’ could be given. Fortunately, no one was injured. According to the police, damage of around 100,000 euros was done at market hall. Local media however, are talking about several hundred thousand euros.
