Discover springtime citrus varieties at CPMA

Sunkist said it is bringing a taste of sunshine to the CPMA Convention and Trade show with fresh citrus grown by Sunkist’s cooperative of family farmers in California and Arizona.

“Citrus demand continues to build along with consumer interest in fresh, healthy and natural lifestyle choices. Sunkist is excited to highlight springtime citrus varieties and promotional opportunities in Vancouver,” said Sunkist Director of Communications Joan Wickham. “This time of year lends itself to so many usage occasions for citrus – from refreshing seasonal food and beverage recipes, bright décor and even spring cleaning.”

Visitors to Sunkist’s booth will be able to sample springtime citrus varieties including Cara Cara, blood and Navel oranges, Minneola tangelos, California mandarins, Ojai Pixie tangerines and Gold Nugget variety mandarins along with lemon-infused water. Chef Jill Davie will offer culinary tips on using and pairing citrus varieties in ways that maximize the flavors and attributes of each distinctive type of fruit.

“The versatility of citrus makes it a truly special category that can be promoted throughout the store,” said Sunkist Director of Retail Marketing Julie DeWolf. “Sunkist offers a multitude of promotional tools to help retailers capitalize on these opportunities – in the produce section and beyond.”

Sunkist’s retail marketing materials will be on display at the trade show and the organization’s sales and marketing team will be available to discuss opportunities. The company said its varied marketing approaches accommodate various store formats and shopper demographics.
