France: Léa Nature to invest €100 million

Léa Nature have announced that they will invest €100 million mainly into increasing their production capacities. Léa Nature includes Jardin Bio, Carte Nature, le Pain des Fleurs, Floressance, Mamie Bio and others. They have 11 organic food production sites, 2 organic cosmetic factories and 3 international sites. 80% of their products are made in France and they have 1,300 employees. Their products include peppermint from the Pays de la Loire which is perfect for herbal teas and green lentils from Poitou-Charentes, used in ready-meals. 

The market increased by 15% in France over the year, reaching €8 billion, and is expected to reach €12 billion in 2 years and €20 billion in 2025. 70 new organic brands were launched over the last few years. Large brands such as Bjorg exist, as well as Léa Nature who are one of the initiators behind organic produce in large supermarkets.
