Fresh juices with avocado

Green juices are booming

The fruit juice brand Michel - well-known in Switzerland - is expanding its range of chilled fresh juices with the new 'Michel Pure Taste Avocado-Spinach-Mango' and is jumping on the bandwagon of green juices. The fresh fruits and vegetables are cold-pressed and preserved using a high-pressure process. The result tastes at least as good as home-made juices.

Since September 2017, the beverage manufacturer Rivella has been producing and distributing chilled fresh juices under its traditional brand Michel. With the new 'Michel Pure Taste Avocado-Spinach-Mango' the Michel brand is expanding its chilled fresh juice assortment in terms of taste and color. "Especially for health-conscious consumers, green juices and smoothies are currently booming," says Michel Weishaupt, Michel's marketing director, while explaining the reasons behind the new product. One element astonishes market experts in particular: avocados are hardly available in the fruit juice sector so far. Now if you expect 'Michel Pure Taste Avocado-Spinach-Mango' to tastes like vegetables, you will be surprised. Cold-pressed fruits such as mango and banana give the green juice a particularly fruity note, being kind to "vegetable beginners".

The secret of the taste lies in the process
As with all fresh juices in the Michel Pure Taste range, fresh fruits and vegetables delivered daily are peeled, cold-pressed, bottled and preserved using a gentle high-pressure process. In contrast to the widespread heat pasteurization, the so-called HPP process optimally retains vitamins, nutrients and taste.

Since late March 2018 'Michel Pure Taste Avocado-Spinach-Mango' has complemented the three existing variants 'Orange', 'Passionfruit-Banana-Orange' and 'Strawberry-Orange-Beet’. The fresh juices in the two-and-a-half deciliter PET bottles can be found in the refrigerated shelves at, among others, the filling stations of Coop Pronto, Manor, selected bakeries and tea rooms. Especially for restaurants and hotels there's 'Michel Pure Taste Orange' and 'Michel Pure Taste Strawberry-Orange' in the large 1 liter bottle.
