First fruits came to Chongqing Port by land
China: Breakthrough in Chongqing
On March 21, 2 batches of longans from Thailand and 2 batches of dragon fruit from Vietnam were transported to the Chongqing Bonded Port Area via the southbound passage. They have already passed the quarantine services' examination and passed through the customs successfully.
Longans from Vietnam arrive at Chongqing port
A Chongqing Bonded Port Area representative explained that the fruits came to Chongqing Port through the Mohan Port in Yunnan, which took 9 days. It is 3-4 days faster than river-sea transportation. Soon the customs clearance process will speed up and the time of transportation will be shortened to about 7 days.
Unpacking the imported fruits
In 2017, fruit production in China reached 270 million tons, 5.387 million of them are from Chongqing. Fruit consumption has reached a value of 2.8 trillion yuan, and Chongqing's fruit consumption has reached 30 billion.
