The 2018 Guangzhou Eleventh Conghua Loquat Festival officially started on March 21st in the Fragrant Honey Mountain Ecological Fruit Village, located in Conghua District, Guangzhou.

"The loquat ripened a week late this year. The estimated production volume is around 150 thousand kg, which is similar to last year." This is according to a spokesperson of the Fragrant Honey Mountain Ecological Fruit Village.
Overseas visitors sample loquat
In previous years the Conghua loquat started to ripen in the middle of March. This year they ripened a little late as a result of cold weather. The harvest has just begun and is estimated to last until early May.
