Tavola, the bi-annual industry fair was held from 11 to 13 March in the Belgian city of Kortrijk. Four-hundred-and-fifty selected exhibitors showed off their best, freshest, classic delicacies. AGF put together a photo report of the fresh produce and their related, companies that had a stand at Tavola. More than 17 000 buyers from the Food Stuff industry and catering organisations from Belguim, the Netherlands, France, and neighbouring countries were represented at the trade fair.
Meat, cheese and catering products were well-represented at the show. Exhibitors were very satisfied with the fair, especially since the visitors to the show were experts in the area of nutrition. They were also genuinely interested in the products. The three days were all well attended. This is one of the most important factors for many of the exhibitors. The products were nicely displayed in original ways. Visitors could also taste the products to their hearts' content.
Golden Tavola
At the end of January, the Gold Travola was awarded. This is a competition among the Travola participants and has a number of categories. The Golden Travola is given to the best, most innovative product. This year's winner in the Catering category was BelOrta's Friseline.
