Furthering development of production sector and agriculture

Belarus to help South Africa

Belarus is determined to assist the nation of South Africa extensively, so it can develop its production sector and agriculture industry. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to South Africa, Alexander Sidoruk, made this clear during his visit to South African President Jacob Zuma.

The ambassador noted that Belarus and South Africa are connected by decades of friendship, which began when the Soviet Union helped the Africans fight the apartheid regime. The ambassador stressed that Belarus is resolute to help South Africa with developing the production sector and agriculture as well as the IT sector.

Offering extensive education options to students from South Africa in Belarus is a central element of this plan. According to an eng.belta.by article, the Belarusian diplomat confirmed his nation’s resolve to further advance and bolster the bilateral dialogue and relations with South Africa across the board for the sake of interests of both countries and nations.
