Russia stimulates export of mushrooms and wild fruits with tax incentives

The Russian government intends to stimulate the export of exotic products by tax incentives over the next two years. These are, amongst others: cedar nuts, wild fruits and mushrooms, all considered high added value goods.

The Economic Gazette reports that government agencies plan to incentivise the export of wild mushrooms, berries, nuts, birch juice and herbs that will be promoted through protected geographic names. The producers are considering tax preferences similar to those for farmers.
