New drought resistant and early maturing crop varieties introduced in Ghana

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana (MoFA) has introduced new crop varieties which could help ease the impact of rising temperatures on growers, the Ghana News Agency reports. MoFA tells that the crops are drought resistant as well as early maturing, and have been introduced to farmers in the Dormaa Central Municipality of Brong-Ahafo Region to help combat climate change.
