China: 1000 tons of Luochuan apples to be sold to Germany

On November 3, during the ChinaFVF 2017 - China International Fruit & Vegetable Fair held in Beijing, the Luochuan Merrycall Company and the Beijing Buycylinder Company signed a sales contract for 1,800 tons of apples. Mr. Wang Xiaodong, head of Merrycall's Beijing department, said: "This year, we've signed sales contracts with the German 3U Company. Beginning in December, 1,000 tons of Luochuan apples will be exported to Germany."

Luochuan county farmers have been cultivating apples for 70 years since 1947. The apple cultivation area is about 33,350 ha. In January 2015, 33,335 ha of apples passed the certification at China's Green Food Raw Material Base, with 8,590 ha of those passing the export certification and 3,253 ha passing the organic fruit base certification. At present, Luochuan apples cover markets of 28 provinces and are exported to Southeast Asia, Australia, Canada, United Arab Emirates and 28 other countries. The annual export has exceeded 100,000 tons.
