China: Equilibrium of supply and demand on the apple market

Currently, every producing location of Fuji apples in China has started opening its doors after the autumn rainfall. However, specific apple producers were impacted by the drought and hail from the previous period, so the quality of the fruits are unevenly matched. Especially the fruits with a mediocre quality face a certain marketing pressure. This year a lot of producers were affected by frost, hail, drought, rainfall and other elements, so the size of the apples is smaller than in previous years. Therefore there is a huge tendency towards fruit with good quality and price on the market, causing the price gap to be larger. However, the output of apples was generally large, so there is a market equilibrium between supply and demand.
