"The current export price is lower than last year's, giving Chinese garlic a price advantage on the international market. Therefore, the export has also increased. Compared to the high garlic sales in 2016, this year's sales are definitely not as expected. However, it is difficult for garlic farmers to reduce their production area. This is because, the rainy weather has obstructed production. This could postpone the new season, and delay the production time. Furthermore, the production costs are now lower than last year's. Lastly, because the prices are low, the profit is higher than that of other crops, like wheat."
