Pakistan Minister looks to increase fruit & veg exports

The State Minister for Commerce and Textile, Muhammad Akram Ansari, on Thursday informed the Senate that the government was taking various steps for increasing the export of fruit and vegetables. 

Responding to a Calling Attention Notice raised by Col (R) Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, regarding decline in export of fruits and vegetables, the minister said various incentives were also announced for enhancing the production of fruit and vegetables. 

He said the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has also organized several exhibitions of fruits and vegetables abroad during the calendar years in various countries including Germany, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Indonesia etc.
