China: Juhuasuan looking for Shaanxi farmers

On 12 September, three Alibaba Group platforms, namely Tmall, Juhuasuan and Qifeng Fruit held the Mei County Kiwi Launch Ceremony at a Qifeng Fruit kiwi field in Mei County, Shaanxi. Over 200 people attended this ceremony. Among them were leaders of the Shaanxi Bureau of Commerce, Baoji Bureau of Commerce, Mei County government, Bureau of Commerce and Fruit Industry Bureau, and the Mei County Kiwi Committee. Furthermore, leaders from Tmall and Qifeng Fruit, and Mei County online traders and distributors were also present, as well as 30 local farmers.

Many media outlets have followed and reported on this ceremony. Through live broadcasts, tastings, introductions and interactivity, Mei County has promoted its kiwis to the wider public. The ceremony was managed by Dong Wenbin, Mei County's deputy head commissioner. During the ceremony, Guo Jinsheng, secretary-general of the Shaanxi E-Commerce Association, Che Yongqian, director of Baoji e-commerce, Wei Jianru, deputy secretary of the Mei County CPC Committee, Zhou Ning, representative of Alibaba's Juhuasuan, and Qi Feng, CEO of Qifeng Fruit, all gave speeches.

Juhuasuan looking for farmers: improving agricultural sales by finding authentic, high quality fruit
This search for farmers displays Alibaba's superiority in e-commerce. Nationwide, it selects only the best agricultural products to sell online. Zhou Ning, representative of Juhuasuan, explains that this search was launched to find the best products for the Tmall and Juhuasuan customers.
