Bejo to show off new varieties at Open Days 2017
Bejo's clients and business relations will be able to discover more about vegetable crops and upcoming varieties during the Open Days to be held at Trambaan 2, Warmenhuizen, the Netherlands from the 26th until the 30th of September 2017.
In addition to varieties from Bejo's conventional assortment, there will also be increasingly more varieties for organic cultivation along with other new varieties. In the lettuce category it will display a few newcomers, plus further developments in the organic domain.
The Fruit Crop Tunnel at the showing will display a varied assortment ranging from tomatoes and peppers to gherkins and courgettes. There will also be a focus on the company's apiary and bees, as key pollinators of their crops, at the same location. More familiar crops will also be on show including cabbage, carrot and onion.
Innovations
New introductions, such as the 'Boga' onion set, the 'Prairie' parsley and the 'Report' white cabbage will be given special attention in the demonstration fields.
The product pavilion will provide information on the B-Mox, the company's latest innovation in seed enrichment. Oliver F1 is Bejo's first True Potato Seed (TPS) variety, and this new potato hybrid can be cultivated directly from botanic seed. Visitors will also explore new applications for the kohlrabi plant.

The Taste, Health & Innovation 2017 - Carrot Symposium on September 28th will focus exclusively on carrots. Various breeding aspects and insights into how to market carrots with added value will be discussed.
