California produce industry donates to Hurricane Harvey survivors

An array of produce companies located in the Salad Bowl Capital of the World have come together to nourish the minds and bodies of Hurricane Harvey survivors by donating truckloads (24 pallets/truckload) of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Our hope is that our labor of love as growers, packers, shippers and processors can provide healthy produce options to encourage survivors to stay strong and positive during this challenging time. The produce has been donated by Church Brothers Farms, D’Arrigo CA, Driscoll’s, Cal Giant, Mann Packing, and Taylor Farms. The product is being delivered to the Houston Food Bank and SYSCO is donating all the transportation from the Salinas Valley to Texas.
