Uzbekistan considers ag exports to the UK
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with the British Embassy in Uzbekistan on August 29 held a seminar entitled "Export of horticultural and agricultural products to the UK".
The event focused on issues of exporting local fruit and vegetables, agricultural products to the United Kingdom, the Jahon information agency reports.
In 2016, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Great Britain amounted to $151 million. There are 559 enterprises with the participation of British investors in Uzbekistan. Representative offices of 68 British companies are accredited in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
At the seminar, Uzbek exporting enterprises were provided with information on conditions for the export of fruit and vegetable agricultural products to the United Kingdom, and on the requirements for imported products, and the overall potential of the market.
