Azerbaijan seeks to grow exports to Belarus

According to Azerbaijan's Economy Ministry, the country is seeking to increase exports to Belarus.

The Azerbaijani trading house was opened in Belarus in late May to increase the export, the ministry noted. This is Azerbaijan's first trading house abroad.

“Although the trading house was inaugurated not long ago, it has already sold 84 tonnes of fruit and vegetable products, including 8,000 bottles of olive oil, 2,700 bottles of pomegranate juice, and over 1,200 tea boxes,” the post on the website reads.

The trading house has also signed agreements with several large Belarusian trading companies to sell Azerbaijani products.

The Azerbaijani trading house sells natural juices, jams and other goods. According to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, Belarus-Azerbaijan trade in H1 2017 totaled $79.08 million, $8.25 million of them were Azerbaijan's exports: nuts, fruits, vegetables, olive oil, vegetable oils, sugar, and other products.
