Trade meet to encourage foreign investment into Fiji ag sector

An upcoming trade meet in Australia aims to shift perceptions in the Australian market and demonstrate that Fiji has more to offer than just being a unique tourist destination and encourage Australian investors to consider Fiji a viable and ideal destination for agriculture investments.

The Fiji-Queensland Economic Partnership Trade and Investment Symposium will be held on July 20 at the Stamford Hotel in Brisbane. It will be attended by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama who will lead a delegation comprising public and private sector reps.

A media statement from the Consulate General and Trade Commission of The Republic of Fiji said the event would promote two-way business, trade and investment opportunities, targeting agriculture and other sectors.

The key guest speaker at the event is the CEO and founder of Halfbrick Studios in Australia, Shainiel Deo. The event is organised by the Fijian Government through the Consulate General and Trade Commission of The Republic of Fiji in Sydney and the Fijian High Commission in Canberra in partnership with the Australia-Fijian Business Council.
