New Covent Garden Market

Market offering free entry to first time buyers

The New Covent Garden Market is allowing first time sellers to enter for free. Chairman of traders, Gary Marshall, is welcoming new fruit and vegetable buyers to the large fruit and veg wholesale market in London. It is open for trade customers from midnight to 06:00, and first time buyers can enter for free if they spend over £50.

To take advantage of the promotion, visitors must go to the main entrance of the Fruit and Veg Market and pay £5 cash to the man in the security booth. He’ll give them an entry ticket to display in the cab of their vehicle, and a New Buyer Guide with a map and list of wholesalers. When they've finished buying, the £5 will be reimbursed.

The offer is valid from Monday 12 June to Friday 11 August, and is limited to commercial vehicles. Fruit and Veg Market wholesalers are open from 00:00 to 06:00, Monday to Saturday (some wholesalers do open earlier and close later).
