Reaction to article on NZ onion exports shifting from Europe

Yesterday FreshPlaza published an article from Balle Bros on the New Zealand onion industry. It has been brought to our attention that the title, which implied that New Zealand onion exports were moving away from Europe, was misleading.

As stated in the content of the article, New Zealand onion exporters have a strong relationship with European retailers and the supply to Asia, which at the moment is small, is just an expansion of markets and will not mean less supply to Europe, which will remain a key market for New Zealand.

FreshPlaza would like to apologise to Balle Bros and other New Zealand onion exporters for any inconvenience caused by this title.
