Bulgaria: Seasonal farmers market opening in Plovdiv

A seasonal farmers market is being set up in Plovdiv's Trakia district this week, as reported by Radio FOCUS by Plovdiv District Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov. According to him, the market will allow a total of 10 producers to sell their production directly.

"The market will be active during the summer season. If citizens are interested, its activity will be renewed for the next agricultural season in 2018," stated Kostadin Dimitrov. He recalled that, since last year, the trading tables on the municipal markets of registered Bulgarian producers in Plovdiv have been specifically marked. The measure was introduced to stimulate domestic production and, at the same time, to point customers to the right place if they prefer to choose the traditional taste and freshness of domestic fruits and vegetables.
