"This year, the season for honey pomeloes in Pinghe will start by mid-August. The produced output this year is approximately 20%-30% higher than last season. On top of that ,the quality of the fruits is also better. This mainly because of the favorable weather conditions all year round which had a positive impact on the blossoming process of the pomelo trees", says mister Wen Mindong from Flourish Fruits in Pinghe county (Zhangzhou city, Fujian province).

"Relying on the good company reputation and the regional brandmark advantage, our pomelo exports have been increasing incessantly for the past few years. However, the market competition has also grown fiercer. On the one hand, because of their drive to receive profits, the number of pomelo exporting companies has been growing continuously. On the other hand, a couple of enterprises have attracted customers and provide them with substitute goods, which ceaselessly starts price wars. While facing these kind of circumstances, we have always carried on our tradition of putting quality as the essence of our operations. Forecasts show that the exports of pomeloes this year and the export price for pomeloes will both be somewhat higher than last year's."

"Our company was established in 2007 in Pinghe county in Fujian province's Changzhou city. This area has its expertise in growing, processing and exporting pomelos. we are continuously trying to improve the quality of our pomelos. We check on all aspects of our operations: from supervision of the orchards to the storage after harvesting, and even picking the packaging. At present, 50% of the pomeloes which we produce; are sold under our private label 'FLOURISH" to wholesale markets and supermarkets in first and second tier Chinese cities. The other 50% is exported to Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Russia, Canada and some other countries. We hope to realise more sales in the future by using T-Mall and other electronic platforms."
