Armenia has exported 32.5 thousand tonnes of fresh produce so far in 2017

Since the start of 2017, 32.5 thousand tonnes of fresh fruits and vegetables have been exported by Armenia, as reported by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan in a statement made at a press conference on 7 June, writes NEWS.am.

Traditionally, the biggest buyer of Armenian products is Russia, which has purchased 31.5 thousand tonnes. The remaining one thousand tonnes went to other countries, mainly to Georgia and the Emirates. Tomatoes are the most exported product, with about 17 thousand tonnes.

"The export of cherries has also already started, and apricots will soon arrive. This year, if there are no surprises, we expect normal volumes," said R. Makaryan.
