Fruit & veg prices in Islamabad, Pakistan markets remain stable
According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 36 per kilogram, Onion Rs 24, Tomato Rs 19, Garlic (Quetta) Rs 168, Garlic Local 103, Lemon Rs 170, Lady Finger Rs 48 and Pumpkin Rs 34.
Prices for fruits per kilogram were as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 155/196, Apple Golden Rs 87/129, Apple White Rs 85/132, Apple China Rs 150/214, Banana Pak Rs 90/120, Banana India Rs 130/165, Pear China Rs 150/123, Melon Rs 46/60 and Water Melon Rs 18/25, Mango (Malda) 57/78, Mango (Sindhi) Rs 74/121,Mango (local) Rs 48/68 and Apricot Rs 95/125.
The price control committee Shaheed Benazirabad has fixed rates of daily use commodities for the holy month of Ramadan while a complaint cell was also set up to receive and act upon complaints of over-charging.
