Cristian Morales, one of the founders of Where is my Fruit?

"Spain: "Very tough year for the market in the Middle East"

This newly established company is the result of three partners, with more than 8 years' experience in the business, joining forces, and they are involved in various markets thanks to this experience. In this way, the Middle East, with countries like Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrein, Qatar, etc., became a market option.

However, in recent months, "we have noticed that the companies there are suffering the consequences of the lack of liquidity of the governments and are having problems to pay in time," adds Morales. Until recently, this market accounted for 70% of the sales of Where is my Fruit?, but now this share has dropped to just 10%.

"In any case, we are also very strong in other markets with other products," states Morales. In their first year in operation, they can say that they have already exported about 50 containers of Primofiori lemons to Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc., and together with their French producing partners, they have also sold about 50 containers of apples.

"In fact, we are able to supply most fruits, although we have our strengths," affirms Morales. "Our service is not limited to selling the product; we take care of the whole process until the fruit or vegetable reaches its destination, offering only Class I and extra quality," adds Morales.
