Egypt: Agricultural exports from Ismailia in first three months of 2017

Dr Engineer Khalil Mubarak, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Governorate of Ismailia, said that the total export volume of agricultural products in January and February 2017, including vegetables, fruits, field crops and medicinal and aromatic plants, shipped to different Arab and foreign countries, amounted to 1,472,104 tonnes worth $ 7 and 112 million. 

He added that the total value of vegetable, fruit, field crop and medicinal and aromatic plant shipments alone during the month of March amounted to 730,340 tonnes worth 8.40 million dollars. 

He pointed out that the total value of fresh and frozen vegetable shipments stood at 6.844 thousand dollars, with a volume reaching 1,167 tonnes; fresh and frozen fruit accounted for 475,465 tonnes worth 1.27 million dollars, and field crop shipments stood at 253,708 tonnes worth over 8.12 million dollars.
