Xianju County enjoys a steady output of bayberries

"The history of bayberry cultivation in Xianju County dates back over one thousand years. Our two major varieties, Biqi and Dongkui, will be available on the market, starting from 10th and 20th of June respectively, and the supply will last till around 5th of July. Thanks to the stable climate this year, both the yield and the market price are almost the same as last year," said Mr. Ying, creator of the Junlang Xianju brand. 

"Compared to other popular fruits in China, the planted area and varieties of bayberries are very limited. Apart from our Biqi and Dongkui varieties, a few other white ones are sometimes seen on the market, but the flavor and color of those are not as good as ours. Also, they are not very easy to cultivate." 

"Over the past few years, the total planted area of bayberries in Xianju County has been stabilized without dramatic expansions. With our continuous efforts, the bayberries from our plantation have entered the high-end consumer market and are mainly sold as giftboxes to e-business platforms, public institutes and companies. We understand the importance of our product quality. Therefore, in the future we will continue to provide good products while trying our best to maintain a good relationship with our clients."
