More than 6,500 shipments of different types of agricultural products were inspected last month by the Agriculture Quarantine Office at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.

Out of all shipments around 120, weighing 21.10 tonnes, were destroyed for violating the law of agricultural quarantine rules as the quantity was infected with pests.

During the same period, the Agriculture Quarantine Office inspected about 26 shipments weighing 224.76 tonnes ready for export at the country’s export outlets. The office also issued health certificates and clearances for shipments.
