Graphic&Mail reveals new name and latest LED printing press

Graphic&Mail evolved from the former mailroom and repro activities of the former Veiling ZON in Venlo, the Netherlands. By now, the full service supplier of graphic products has outgrown the horticultural sector. Last Friday, Nino Venezia celebrated the expansion of his activities with a new name, Dutch graphic group, and the introduction of its latest printing press, based on LED technology, and which is the first one to be installed in the Benelux.

The entrepreneur is proud of his six-colour Mark Andy P5 printing press. “It was a significant investment, but we want to make a difference. We have seen new developments in the fresh produce sector, among other sectors, and we want to anticipate those. This LED printing press is ozone-neutral, and the ink has been ‘food-approved.’ With it, we are frontrunners in the field of sustainability. Innovating and improving the service is necessary, after all, to remain standing in this branch.”

Another reason for purchasing the innovative printer, was a practical one. “We have won a number of contracts, and we expect to expand our sales considerably in coming months because of that. Recently, we outsourced work for large amounts to partners, but that’s not why I became an entrepreneur. Thanks to this investment we can produce everything ourselves again. And I might as well tell you a secret now: We are planning to purchase a similar second printing press!”

“And customers will be able to tell, because we can process more orders per day, and delivery times will be considerably shorter because of that. We want to remain as flexible as possible. If the customer supplies his PDF at noon, he might just have his labels by the end of the day,” Nino proudly says. “We became known for our labels, which we supply on roll in large numbers for retailers, both domestic and abroad, but customers also know how to find us for index cards, crate cards and specials. We work based on a complete concept.”

Those who think they’ll just get another account manager on the line are wrong. Besides his wife Anita, who has been part of the business for years, son Enzo by now functions as stand-in for his father at the location in Fresh Park Venlo, and son Gino will be the contact at production location Blerick from June. “We are facing the future as a family company,” Nino concludes.
