Miami fruit warehouse fire under control

Miami-Dade Fire & Rescue declared the two-alarm fire that blazed for more than an hour Monday afternoon at an Opa-locka warehouse was under control.

The fire started around 4:30 p.m. at the American Fruit & Produce Corporation warehouse, 12805 NW 42nd Ave. A Channel 10 report says several explosions were reported.

The Gratigny Expressway’s LeJeune Road-Douglas Ave. connector exit was closed as was part of Northwest 128th Street. The detours clogged surrounding streets in Opa-locka and Hialeah.
