"Jordan: "Packaging vegetables has always been a great challenge"

Their limited specialization in the packaging of perishable goods is a problem that Jordanian exporting companies must deal with on a day-to-day basis; however, they know that they must live up to the expectations of their European customers in order to compete with them. For this reason, "we have decided to invest all our efforts in the creation of a box as good as the ones offered in Europe in terms of both quality and design," explains Nedal Azubedi, manager of Immortal Produce Co.

This Jordanian company has commissioned cardboard sheets from a local company and, with other materials and a basic but effective design, it has created a box that helps protect the freshness of the products and keep them in good condition during transport.

Nevertheless, although the balance is generally positive, "it has been more expensive than we would have liked," affirms Azubedi. This box gives an added value to your products, but it also raises their final price.

Unfortunately, they are unable to know for sure the impact that this has had on the market, since they have had a bad cucumber and courgette season and these are the products offered in this format.
