Festive opening new building Levarht

In 2015, Levarht started a new adventure. On Wednesday 19 August 2015, the first foundation stone was laid for the expansion of the building at the Mijnsherenweg in De Kwakel. With this expansion, 11 loading and unloading docks and 12 cooling cells were added to the existing construction. Now, just over 18 months later, Levarht has at its disposal 27,700 m2 in total, and the company now has 45 loading and unloading docks and 22 cooling cells. Time for celebration!

Last Saturday, Levarht celebrated the completion and occupation of the new building with all of the personnel and their loved ones. Levarht is a family company, and that includes all of the personnel and their family. During this day, the history of the company, starting in Langereraar / Ter Aar in 1933, and later the Dorpsstraat in Aalsmeer was remembered, as well as all of the different expansions of the current complex. Colleagues were also thanked for the additional efforts and flexibility during this latest expansion. After that, the afternoon of activities started.

There was a tour of the building, including a quiz, and there were booths where the various departments talked or let people taste products. The children were entertained by a balloon clown who also did face painting. They could decorate muffins with fresh fruit and they were even allowed in the lorry for a little drive. All of this was centred around a food square, where various foodtrucks offered delicious snacks and drinks.

All in all, a successful day, enjoyed by more than 400 family members!
