Egyptian exports to UAE have increased 116% since 2015

There has been a remarkable development of Egyptian exports to the United Arab Emirates which reached a record level of 2.4 billion USD in 2016, ie up 116% compared to 2015.

For the UAE, Egypt is an important supplier that ranks 5th for vegetables and 6th for fruits. The expansion of the population and the growth of tourism in the Emirates led to an increase in food imports (food and drink up 90% per year).
