64 agricultural exporters to participate in Gulf Food 2017 in Dubai
The event assumes significance as the UAE is a potential market for Indian food products, such as fresh fruits & vegetables, processed fruits and others.
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is mandated with the responsibility for the promotion and development of the export of various agro products. India is one of the largest producer of food in the world.
India exports agricultural products to more than 80 countries and in 2015-16, the exports stood at USD 16.19 billion.
