The 36 agreements include, among other things, the establishment of a headquarters in the district of Jingdong in Anhui province; access to a large spectrum of plant growing lamps assembly lines; organic agricultural plantations and an ecological park with a grape theme. The projects cover several domains, like e-commerce, the processing of agricultural produce and the cultivation industry.
Among these, the soon-to-be-established HQ by the Jidong Century Trade Limited Liability Company in Beijing, electricity providers from rural areas, and stores in Changfeng project, have together invested approximately 413,55 million EUR (3 billion RMB) and require a total area of more than 53 hectares. They will construct a base and distribution center for high-end electricity provision, and they also want to build a regional operating center, a base for intelligent distribution tracking, a center for cloud data, a modern procurement center, a Jingdong electricity industrial park, a suppliers' operation center, a comprehensive innovation center and many other bases.
The project about the spectrum of plant growing lights, which was set up by the local Rongshida electronics company and the British Phytolux, is another important project which was agreed upon on at this promotional event in Changfeng. The space needed for this project takes up to 13,3 hectares and a total investment of 55,14 million EUR (400 million RMB). The project will build a spectrum of assembly lines occupied with lamps that benefit plant growth. As the chairman of Rongshida electronics company explains, LED lights are an artificial light source that provide the required illumination for the photosynthesis to happen. In an environment that does not get enough sunlight, these lights can complement the sun sufficiently. This will cause the plants to grow normally or grow even better. The LED lights give plants a robust root, help their growth, regulates the fragrance and color, render the fruits ripe and of top-quality and promote the taste and quality.
"Those lights for botanical growth are custom-made across a whole spectrum of vegetables and fruits, so that they increase illumination sufficiently, are disease resistant and guarantee that vegetables and fruit can grow naturally even when there is not enough sunlight. If we take strawberries for example, under the same conditions, the output after using these LED lights is not only 4 times as big as when the light are not used, but also improve the quality of the strawberries." Pan Baochun says: "The cooperation with the British firm Phytolux opens up a new spectrum of lights for botanical growth. So in the future the prices of produced goods will be 50% lower than those of imported merchandise."
