Kyrgyzstan looking to export agricultural products to China

The export of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China is being discussed at all levels of cooperation, said Kyrgyz Ambassador to China, Kanayim Baktygulova, reported Tazabek.

China, as any other country in the world, has its own internal procedures of giving permission for importers, she noted.

"This procedure in China is a multistage and lengthy procedure including phytosanitary and quarantine checks," she said.

"Kyrgyzstan right now is in talks with China to obtain permits to export flour, meat, kidney beans, grapes, melons, cherries and pet food to China," said Ambassador Baktygulova.

It could still be years however until all the stages are passed in order to export to China however, she said.
