Duchess of Cornwall buys avocado painting

One oil painter in the UK was honored when The Duchess of Cornwall bought one of her paintings at the Ferens Art Gallery when visiting with the Prince of Wales on Wednesday. Helen Brayshaw was shocked that her painting of an avocado was chosen out of the 330 other works at the open exhibition.

While the painting was her second choice, after being told another painting was not for sale, Mrs. Brayshaw was still excited saying, "I've never been so thrilled to be second choice. I didn't think anyone would buy it, if you blink you'll miss it. I was just stunned really."
