Australian cherries arrive at Nanjing airport

On 26 January, 1.25 tons of cherries harvested and transported all the way from Australia arrived at the Lukou International Airport of Nanjing. Under the supervision of the Nanjing customs staff, the containers were moved from the airplane cargo cabin to a towing vehicle and transported to a sorting and storage facility. Around the Chinese New Year, airfreight is a quintessential element of the fresh produce import. The Nanjing customs even opened a 'green passage' for the fresh produce articles that were flown into the airport. Extra hours are spent on the work to assure that the articles keep their freshness, so they can serve as the perfect gift during the new year.
