"We wanted to continue being able to supply our Russian customers. Before the start of Fruit Melody, we had been sending many tons of cherry tomatoes from Sicily. I do want to stress through that we only trade Serbian products with our Russian customers, we are not trading with products from any other origin. Along with the top fruit, apples and pears, we also sometimes supply peaches, nectarines and plums, along with vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower and carrots." said Anna Maria Frassanito from Rogran Srl.

"There are opportunities from Serbia to serve other markets, although we are currently only active in the Russian market. However, high customs fees and rising prices can make it challenging. We deal directly with retailers and wholesalers."
The Serbian office is located in Belgrade, with the largest apple volumes coming from the region of Smederevo where Fruit Melody's fruit growers are located.
Apples remain the largest export, with the most popular being Idared, where there are huge supplies coming out of Serbia, with low prices. Muza, Granny Smith and Golden Delicious are some other varieties also being grown.

Anna Maria observed that Serbian growers are becoming more confident in a positive trading climate and said that they always do the best to fulfill all customers requests.
"It's a shame, our Russian partners would like to have Italian vegetables but as you know, it's not possible at the moment to sell them." lamented Anna Maria.
The company will be present at this year's Fruit Logistica, in Hall 4.2, stand C09.
