China: Urumuqi International airport opens for imported fruit

On January 17th, a ceremony was held to mark the inauguration of Urumuqi International as a designated airport for imported fruit. This means that local residents can enjoy directly imported fruits, rather than getting them from more distant, designated ports in other cities.

During the day, representatives from the Xinjiang Tianyuan International Logistic Co. Ltd, talked about their work in progress, and the Xinjiang Entry & Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced that the inspection status of the airport was satisfactory.
