Increase of fruit and veg exports from Alicante to Norway

Fruit and vegetable exports from the Spanish province of Alicante to Norway have increased significantly and contributed to boosting global exports, as reported by La Verdad.

Although Norway is a small customer compared to countries like France, Germany or Italy, the increase has been quite interesting.

Exports of fresh vegetables to Norway in the first ten months of 2016 were worth 28 million Euro; this is an increase of 27 percent compared to a year earlier. Meanwhile, exports of fresh fruit from Alicante to Norway in the same period were worth 27.9 million Euro; an increase of 32 percent.

In addition to these, Norway also imported preserved fruits and vegetables worth 10.9 million Euro, shoes worth 4.5 million and unworked marble worth 2.9 million.

In total, exports to Norway during the first ten months of last year were worth 80.1 million Euro.

There has also been an increase in exports to Morocco, with 13.7 percent, Italy, with 2.2 percent and the United States, with 9.2 percent.
